This exhibition celebrates the powerful role poetry plays in enriching and influencing the day-to-day lives of Persians around the world throughout time, consciously and subconsciously.
A platform of freedom, Persians have long used poems to challenge oppression, impart compassion and share the ultimate expression of divine love and “oneness”.
In Living Poetry, Iranian-born, Melbourne-based artist Nasrin Rasoulzadeh, weaves the words and works of some of history’s greatest Persian poets: Omar Khayam, Rumi, Hafez, Saedi and Ferdousi together through sculpture, light and form, and brings them to life in a collection that allows us to embrace them in our contemporary, modern lives.
